Vote Pilipinas is a non-profit, non-partisan online and offline information campaign that aimed to mobilize Filipinos to register and to vote in the 2022 national and local elections.
We believe that every Filipino should be afforded the right to suffrage. You have a right to register, to access understandable information about the candidates, and most especially, you have the right to exercise your right to vote.
Vote Pilipinas officially launched on August 26, 2020 and started with the #MagparehistroKa Campaign which essentially is a voter registration campaign. At this point, COMELEC has only about 1 million new registered voters and it was far from their usual 3M new registration numbers.
Believing in our capacity to really make a difference, we have set a big goal of registering 7 million new voters by September 2021, only a few months after we officially launched our campaign.
On December 9, 2020, Vote Pilipinas and the Commission on Elections signed a Memorandum of Agreement to become the official voter registration campaign partner of COMELEC.
With the shared vision of educating and providing verifiable information to voters about the candidates for the 2022 Philippine elections, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), has partnered once again with Vote Pilipinas to effectively and efficiently disseminate voter information through a series of multi-platform approaches and activities in the second phase of the voter information campaign - the #BumotoKa Campaign.
Having completed the first phase of its project, #MagparehistroKa, with the registration of 7.9 million new voters as of October 31, 2021, Vote Pilipinas proceeded to the second phase – encouraging registered voters to get to know, assess and select the candidates they wish to represent them in government.
The #BumotoKa campaign was comprised of the Candidate Profile Dashboard, #BumotoKa Webinar Series and the #BumotoKa Caravans, all to have the registered voters make an informed decision on who to vote for.
