#BumotoKa Campaign

With the shared vision of educating and providing verifiable information to voters about the candidates for the 2022 Philippine elections, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), has partnered with Vote Pilipinas to effectively and efficiently disseminate voter information through a series of multi-platform approaches and activities.

Having completed the first phase of its project, #MagparehistroKa, with the registration of 7.9 million new voters as of October 31, 2021, Vote Pilipinas proceeded to the second phase – encouraging registered voters to get to know, assess and select the candidates they wish to represent them in government.

The #BumotoKa campaign was comprised of the Candidate Profile Dashboard, a user-friendly one-stop digital resource for factual and verified information about the national elections, information about candidates running for president, vice president, senator, as well as profiles of the party-list organizations. Another activation was for this phase was the #BumotoKa Webinar Series, an online effort to highlight social issues surrounding Philippine society.

Each webinar featured leading experts and representatives from sectors such as Education, Livelihood, Gender, Justice, Environment and more wherein the discussions were focused on what the elections meant for their sector and encouraged people to make informed decisions about their chosen candidates. Third is the #BumotoKa Caravans, which aimed to spread specific voter information on: a) why we vote; b) how to vote; and c) who (positions) to vote for.
